From today you can pay online the nautical tax for your stay in Croatia

The Croatian National Tourist Board has launched a multilingual portal (also in Italian) nautika.evisitor.hr which allows boaters to make the Online payment of the nautical tourist tax. This is good news for those who are planning or have planned a cruise to Croatia, since until now you could only pay in the Harbour Master’s Offices and port branches.

HOW TO PAY THE CROATIAN TAX AND HOW MUCH IT COSTS

How to pay the tax? The first and simplest way is based on the length of the boat. Prices? They range from a minimum of 73 Croatian kuna (about 9.70 euros) for a 7- to 9-meter boat for a three-day period to 4,800 kuna (638 euros) for the annual fee for a boat over 20 meters.

To give an example, a cruising boat between 12 and 15 meters in length will spend 392 kuna (52 euros) for up to eight days’ stay, 672 kuna (90 euros) for 15 days, and 1,120 kuna (148 euros) for one month. Payment can be made with all the best card circuits in circulation, and once made, you will receive a confirmation to the e-mail address provided, which you should keep on board throughout your stay.

Solution two, suitable for those who have planned a short stopover in Croatia. In accordance with the Sojourn Tax Act, boaters can also pay it based on the number of people or the number of overnight stays: a form to fill out can be found at this link.

“Boating is one of the most important Croatian tourism products for which demand under these market circumstances is especially high due to the global coronavirus pandemic. This is also evidenced by the data on the number of vignettes sold for the boating industry, from the beginning of the year to July 15, more than 7,000 vignettes were sold or 53% of the results achieved in the last record year 2019.

We are also reporting good results in the nautical charter segment; according to the eCrew system, nearly 200,000 overnight stays were achieved in July, which is about 57 percent of last year’s result. The epidemiological recommendations on social distancing are in place and with this new opportunity we contribute to the safety of boaters, but also of Croatian tourism operators ” said the director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, Kristjan Staničić.
