Do you feel like sailing, but don’t want to reduce yourself to the ground? By investing not exorbitant amounts of money, one can sail a performance boat, but at the same time it is easy to drive even with the family. All the models we propose – from 19 to 45 thousand euros – are trailerable and are the ideal solution for not giving up the desire for sailing without having to invest too much money and with guaranteed fun: both for pure racing (like the H22) and for small family cruises. Here they are, in ascending order of size.

The Elan E1, nicknamed “the pocket rocket,” is designed for ease of use and handling while ensuring superior sailing performance in line with its larger siblings. The Elan E1 offers a new concept of ownership: minimizing every step of preparation for a sailing vacation, a series of innovative solutions allow you to pack, steer and sail in no time. Like other day-sailers the Elan E1 does not require a berth in the marina, thus saving a significant cost, while its low weight makes towing possible for everyone. Price: 26,490 euros + VAT. Lft. 6.34 m; wd. 2.50 m; disk. 990 kg; sup. vel. 28.10 square meters. www.adriaship.it

Its low cost, good performance, and racing schedule make the H22 One Design a really interesting boat. She is a 22-foot monotype boat designed by Rob Humphreys, who was engaged in the 2002/2003 British do America’s Cup campaign, and optimized in construction and sail plan and deck layout by Roberto Spata’s New Wind. It is a very “marine” boat (although it is on the lake that it has experienced its greatest popularity), built in vacuum sandwich, with a marked straightening that also forgives mistakes and thanks to which it is possible to sail in any wind condition. Price: about 19,000 euros + VAT. Lft. 6.70 m; wd. 2.5 m; disk. 770 kg; sup. vel. 30.5 sq. m. www.nwind.it

Perfect to be maneuvered by even three people, not necessarily strong or heavy. One-order spreader mast and boom both made of carbon, easy to adjust. Stable water line shape and low displacement/ballast ratio are essential elements in the J70. But mostly ideal for those who want to have fun at regattas thanks to a very active class(www.j70.it). Price: 28,900 euros + VAT. Lft: 6.93 m; width. 2.25 m; disk. 780 kg; sup. vel. 21 sq. m. www.jboats.it

After the 18- and 27-footers, Seascape decided to “fill the gap” and announced a new 24-footer to be launched this year. It has the same “racer” features as its younger brother, but in this case there are four berths below deck (one double berth in the bow and two side berths in the saloon) making it also interesting for cruising with family or friends. It is trailerable with a fully liftable keel, and the hull is designed to be planing, so speed is not related to length, unlike a traditional displacement boat: the shipyard focused on planing ability even in light wind conditions. And in this direction also goes the choice of solutions marked by easy sailing. The self-tacking square top mainsail, easily maneuverable gennaker, simplified deck layout with all maneuvers within the helmsman’s reach, hull stability, and double rudder blade. The shaft was made of carbon fiber. Price: 45,000 euros + VAT. Lft. 7.30 m; width. 2.5 m; disl. 960 kg; sup vel. 42 sq. m. www.thinkseascape.com

Sleek and elegant lines, generous sail plan: Beneteau’s First 25 stands out on the water. With its self-supporting rigging, it is equipped with a horn mainsail, a jib furler, a 2016 version Code Zero, and an asymmetrical spi (optional) that make sailing faster and more enjoyable every time. With its level of comfort and habitability, the First 25 proves to be a complete cruising boat. The integration of the prop to the forward bulkhead provides ample space on the square, lit by light teak-tone interior timbers. With its double forward cabin, numerous bays, a sink, bathrooms and two bunks in the saloon, it offers excellent accommodation capacity. Price: 44,730 euros + VAT. Lft. 7.90 m; wd. 2.75 m; disk. 2,150 kg; sup. vel. 26.19 sq. m. www.beneteau.com/it
