Are you the last-minute ones? Those who wake up in the summer when all the boats have already been chartered? But this summer you not only want to decide at the last minute, you also want to get to one of the most popular summer vacation destinations by boat, with charters already complete. A few names? The Balearics, the Dodecanese, Dubrovnik in Croatia, for example. Do not despair, there is a solution to everything. Have you chosen to go to Ibiza, but can’t find a catamaran even for the price of gold? Move your gaze north and stop your search at Denia, near Valencia: from here you have the option of reaching the Isla by traveling about fifty miles. Or, at the same distance, in Palma de Mallorca renting a 2010 Bavaria 47 costs about 3,600 a week for July. Fancy the Dodecanese? Don’t even try to look a in Greece, they will have already run out of boats for months, better to aim for Turkey: from Fethiye to Rhodes is only forty miles, but beware of Greece-Turkey customs problems, there are Turkish charters that take care of everything! What if it is sold out in Croatia as well? Particularly in the southern Dubrovnik area charters are not many and the boats run out soon, so don’t be hesitant, it’s time to try your first charter in Montenegro, where for a 2013 Lagoon 450 in July your outlay will be about 7,900 euros for a week, or if you prefer a monohull the cost of a Bavaria 49 is 4,200 euros.
