Knut Frostad
, former executive vice president of digital business and marketing at Navico (the electronics giant that brings together the B&G, Simrad, Lowrance and C-Map brands), is the group’s new president and CEO.

A TRUE SAILOR…
Frostad, former CEO of the Volvo Ocean Race (the crewed round-the-world race to which he has been able to give new life and a more palatable format to the general public), with a wealth of sailing and ocean experience
(two Olympic campaigns in 1988 and 1992 on windsurfing, three round-the-world races as a racer before becoming CEO of the event in 2008) has a clear goal.

Total integration between instrumentation, software, apps, cartography and boat, which is one of the stated missions of Navico (which gathers 1,800 employees under it and whose products are distributed in 100 countries). With a focus on sustainability and finding solutions with a view to recycling materials.

…AND A REAL MANAGER
Born in Harstad, Norway, on June 4, 1967, Frostad reflected his successful sailing career in the boardroom
. He has a business background in management, has held several director and advisor positions in international companies, has been an active board member of Navico since 2005, and a driving force in the company. He is also a renowned motivational speaker. As CEO of Navico, he took over from Leif Ottosson.
