For less than 30 euros turn your kayak or SUP into a sailboat

THE PERFECT GIFT!

Give or treat yourself to a subscription to the print + digital Journal of Sailing and for only 69 euros a year you get the magazine at home plus read it on your PC, smartphone and tablet. With a sea of advantages.

The idea comes from America: it is a collapsible sail that can be assembled in no time at all with which to turn your kayak, SUP, tender into a sailboat. It costs about $30 – 27 euros – and is a kind of ultralight cone (0.35 kg, but reinforced with triple stitching and perimeter batten) to be mounted when you have the wind at the stern or at least at very wide slack.

You can maneuver it with straps and clips easily (pulling it to you will deflate it when you no longer need it), and of course it has a transparent polyester taffeta graft in the center so as not to obstruct your front view.

It folds up easily, the principle being that of Decathlon’s famous folding tents.

It is already a success in the United States!
