Italians, it is known, are a people very sensitive to the call of the table, indeed of good food. And for those Italians who also love to go to sea, being able to combine eating well and being at the table just a step away from the sea on which one has just sailed, is the top. So here we went in search of those restaurants, scattered throughout the broad Mediterranean basin-so that, whatever your destination, you may always have one on hand-that combine precisely these two characteristics. That is, being one step, when not quite overlooking, the sea, and offering good cuisine, made of course with quality raw materials. They then range from the Balearic Islands to Greek Crete, via the French coast, the Italian sea and the beautiful coastline of Croatia.
