Find out all the prizes of the TAG Heuer VELA Cup Formenton Trophy. There is something for everyone!

A regatta that is also a self-respecting party must have rich prizes for “almost” everyone. It will be so at the award ceremony of the TAG Heuer VELA Cup Summer Formenton Trophy. On Aug. 20 from 8 p.m. in the scenic harbor of Porto Rafael overlooking the Maddalena Archipelago, all participants in the regatta will be holding their breath to know who will have won. Yes, because the beauty of the VELA Cup is that until the time of the award ceremony you do not know who has won, in each of the classes.

ALL SAILING CUP PRIZES FOR BOATS WITHOUT A TONNAGE CERTIFICATE

And for this edition, the award ceremony will be not just one, but two. In fact, we will have the one dedicated to the VELA Cup for those racing without a real-time rating certificate in which we will award prizes:
– the first in overall regatta class.
– the first in overall cruise class.
– the top three finishers in the regatta in the different classes: m. 7.00 to m. 8.00; m. 9.31 to m. 11.00; m. 11.01 a m. 13.50; by m. 13.51 a m. 16.00; by m. 16.01 to m. 18.50; by m. 18.51 to m. 21.00; by m. 21.00 to m. 25.00; from m. 25.00 to m. 30.00.
-thetop three cruising finishers in the different classes: m. 7.00 to m. 8.00; m. 9.31 to m. 11.00; m. 11.01 a m. 13.50; by m. 13.51 a m. 16.00; by m. 16.01 to m. 18.50; by m. 18.51 to m. 21.00; by m. 21.00 to m. 25.00; from m. 25.00 to m. 30.00.

In addition, the following special prizes will be awarded:

– Vintage boats (construction before 1950 with any construction material)
– Classic boats (construction before 1975 with any construction material)
– #plasticfantastic (construction between 1965 and 1999 in fiberglass)
– gentleman of yachting (intended for the boat that will be distinguished by elegance and style of the crew and yacht).

ALL FORMENTON TROPHY PRIZES FOR BOATS WITH ORC TONNAGE CERTIFICATE
The following boats will be awarded prizes:
– the first runner-up in real time;
– the top three boats in each grouping (Cruiser/Regatta in possession of a valid ORC International or ORC Club rating certificate; Grand Cruiser; in possession of a valid ORC International or ORC Club rating certificate)
– the youngest competing FIV member.
The winner in corrected time of the Grand Cruiser Class will be given a copy of the “Mario Formenton” Trophy, the original of which in silver will be kept in the headquarters of the Punta Sardegna Yacht Club and will be definitively awarded to the owner of the boat that wins the regatta three times, even non-consecutive times. The Formenton Trophy has been won only twice in 27 editions. The first to win it was Riccardo Ammannato’s Oracabessa (1990-1993-1995), the second Mario Gallini’s Mahè 3 (2003-2004-2005), the boats of two families that started the very first editions of the regatta, which began with just a few boats.
The other awardees, on the other hand, receive the Cerasarda plate , numbered and each edition different, is a true must-have collectible: for over twenty-five years it has been and remains a special keepsake.
