After the very athletic Moth, the ugly (aesthetically speaking) Quant 23 and the futuristic, perhaps too much so, Voilavion, here is a little boat with which you can finally fly easy. We are talking about the brand new carbon trimaran F101. On the website, the manufacturers were clear: “If you are able to take a Laser into glide, you will have no problem with the F101.” Whether alone or as a crew, you can lift yourself out of the water (in fact, the recommended range for crew weight is 70 to 120 kg), in total safety given the width of the platform: tests speak of foiling as early as 8 knots of speed, but it goes up to 25 knots. the mainsail is 8.5 sqm, the gennaker is 7, the total weight of the rigged boat is 80 kg.
YOU CAN ALREADY BOOK IT
The boat will be ready for spring/summer 2017 and will cost less than 15,000 euros, the manufacturers assure (and already it is not chump change). If you are interested, you can already book it by paying a deposit of about 250 euros. http://www.foiling101.com/
