The new version of one of the most successful catamaran classes is called Hobie Dragoon Junior. New version because now the thrill of lifting a hull out of the water is no longer limited to those who have turned twelve, but down to nine you can start flying on water!
The new Hobie sails have a total area of 6.95 square meters, complying with the Code of Navigation and FIV regulations, and will allow in just a few minutes to transform a Hobie Dragoon with a standard rig into a Dragoon Junior, a catamaran designed for sailing school and which will allow 9- to 12-year-olds to participate in the Dragoon Cup national racing circuit in the Junior category.
Why Hobie Dragoon Junior ?
With this model one starts sailing on the catamaran as early as 9 years old and in doubles. Once you turn 12 years old, it will be enough to change sails only to have a Dragoon (FIV and Word Sailing recognized class) to participate in all national and international events on the calendar. And then when you get to 16 you are ready for the Hobie Cat 16 Spi and compete in the Under 19 category.
The Junior Dragoon has the platform, mast and accessories of the Standard Dragoon so the same boat can be used for many, many years! The price? It is 6400 euros.
