We have already surpassed 60 boats registered but we are ambitious and aim high: for the TAG Heuer VELA Cup in Chiavari, the first major post-Covid sailing event in the Tyrrhenian Sea, we aim to reach 80 boats and it will certainly be a great celebration. Don’t make any commitments because the most crowded sailing/racing event in the Tyrrhenian Sea is about to return, the appointment is for July 24, 25, and 26 at Marina Calata Ovest in Chiavari, a port that is part of the Marinedi network.
THE PROGRAM.
The regattas/sailings that will take place on fascinating coastal courses are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday days. On Friday 24, crews will have to finalize their entries, pick up their stickers and gift bags, and will be able to stroll along the docks since there will be various exhibitors from the nautical world because this weekend will not only be dedicated to the VELA Cup but also to the VELA Festival. A briefing is scheduled for Saturday 25 morning at 8:30 am. On Saturday evening at 9 p.m., the party/awards ceremony will take place at Piazza Mercato in Chiavari, followed by live jazz music. Sunday morning again on the water for the regatta with awards ceremony to follow where Sunday’s winners and whoever did best between the two races will be crowned. Every evening fresh beer on the dock for the crews. All information on
