J70EuropChamp15ff_05890Great result of our crews at the European Championship J/70 – Trophée Credit Suisse in Monaco! Notaro Team by Luca Domenici (LNI Anzio) won the title, followed by Franco Solerio’s L’elagain with Daniele Cassinari, Simon Alltree and Luca Albarelli (YC Sanremo)! Only in third place was Spanish super champion Hugo Rocha on New Territories, ahead of compatriot Gonzalo Araoejo on Sailway. Six tests were conducted.

Already the protagonists of exploits in other stages of the class circuit, Notaro Team’s Romans managed to hold their nerves after a bad start (20) and put together five perfect runs (5-2-5-1-3), which led them to the title.

ALBERINI NOT REAPPOINTED, FINE ZAVANONE
In fifth place was Carlo Alberini’s Calvi Network (along with him Branko Brcin, Sergio Blosi and Karlo Hmeljak), which failed to reconfirm itself as champion but still had a season at the top. Among the Corinthians (i.e., crews without professionals), Sweden’s Oscar Lundqvist won, with a good fourth-place finish by Beppe Zavanone’s Pensavo Peggio di Beppe Zavanone of YC Sanremo (Capogita, Zezè, Lauro the code names of his teammates) in 16th overall.
