ALBERINI NOT REAPPOINTED, FINE ZAVANONE
In fifth place was Carlo Alberini’s Calvi Network (along with him Branko Brcin, Sergio Blosi and Karlo Hmeljak), which failed to reconfirm itself as champion but still had a season at the top. Among the Corinthians (i.e., crews without professionals), Sweden’s Oscar Lundqvist won, with a good fourth-place finish by Beppe Zavanone’s Pensavo Peggio di Beppe Zavanone of YC Sanremo (Capogita, Zezè, Lauro the code names of his teammates) in 16th overall.

Other Italians: 15. Sei una Diva (Ferdinando Battistella); 22. SPin One (Pietro Saccomani, Diporto Velico Veneziano); 42. Jedi 70 (Matteo Difino, LNI Milan); 57. Filippica (Bruno Marin, YC Lignano)
Seventy-two boats took part in the Monaco event.
