ELECTRONICS Raymarine instrumentation takes three steps forward.

Raymarine’s electronic instrumentation for the boat in 2020 is enriched with three new features. Coming is the new range of Axiom+ multifunction displays, LightHouse Charts cartography, not to mention the release of the LightHouse Operating System 3, LightHouse Dartmouth version 3.12. E

First up is the Axiom+, the next generation of Raymarine displays. Axiom Plus features a quad-core processor with at least four strengths:

• responsiveness and processing capacity
• possibility of redrawing maps
• navigating with augmented reality
• RealVision 3D fishfinder

In addition, the new high-resolution IPS display provides 25 percent more brightness. The new day/night color charts are designed to have the best possible visibility in any lighting condition. Axiom Plus supports LightHouse 3, which is Raymarine’s top-of-the-line operating system.

The new electronic cartography: LightHouse Charts

The second new feature is the new electronic charting catalog, LightHouse Charts. Created based on data provided by official hydrographic institutions, LightHouse Charts is designed for intuitive navigation. With LightHouse Charts also comes LightHouse PREMIUM, the subscription that provides a constant update service for mapping, access to an extensive library of points of interest, and detailed Mapbox signature satellite views.

LightHouse Chartswill be introduced later this summer and will be available to Raymarine Axiom and Element owners.

LightHouse Dartmouth 3.12

Last but not least is, along with Axiom+ and the new LightHouse Charts, LightHouse Dartmouth 3.12 software for the LightHouse 3 Operating System. This update will introduce new features that are highly anticipated in the market:

• Audio control sidebar improvements: instant access to main controls such as volume, mute, source selection, and zone
• The new aesthetic for system graphics and new fonts for simplified reading and understanding of data on all displays
• Fish alarm and new Ruler function for chartplotter
• Support for new apps dedicated to managing High Pressure Water Makers, Quick Nautical Network, Lumitec Marine Lighting, and Kinetix Impact Mitigation devices
