The Slovenian shipyard Elan is having a busy time, and it is ready to launch a new addition that follows the GT5 and E6 but this time it concerns the Impression range. The line has historically been dedicated to family and charter cruising, and there will not be huge changes on that front; what will vary is the look, because the new Elan Impression 43 is a distinctly modern and eye-catching boat that breaks with the past.
THE PROJECT.
The hull and sail plan were designed by Humphreys Yacht Design, while the overall and interior design is once again by Studio Pininfarina, for a collaboration that resulted in the award-winning Elan E6 and now continues with the Elan Impression 43. The new Impression will be more homogeneous with the rest of the range than past models: indeed, one notices a deckhouse reminiscent of that of the Elan E6, as well as to some extent the windows and the overall look, with racy bow exits reminiscent of the E6.
The boat will be built with Elan’s 3D VAIL vacuum infusion technology , the hull will be equipped with a double rudder blade and L-shaped keel. The interior furniture is built with “rustic” oak veneer and marine plywood, with una solid oak finish that is applied in areas where the furniture is expected to experience the most wear and tear. The layout for the interior layout will be 2 or 3 cabins.
