Dusseldorf trade show: first day and two big news not to be missed

First morning visiting the mammoth German boat show, which is increasingly establishing itself as the most important event for European boating. As a first taste from our trip to Germany we want to give you two goodies that we discovered after an initial scouting tour. The first is a boat that we did not see up close, because it was not on display, but that fascinated us by looking at the renders and that we can’t wait to see come out of the yard, and the second is a world premiere: we are talking about the new Grand Soleil 52 LC and Corsair 760.

Cantiere del Pardo’s Long Cruise range, dedicated to offshore cruising boats, doubles with the arrival of the new 52 LC. After the huge success of the LC 46, Grand Soleil has decided to put a 52-footer in the pipeline, relying once again on Marco Lostuzzi and Nauta Design. A winning team does not change. The 16-meter takes up the most popular elements of the 46: the rollbar in the cockpit, the sunbed area forward of the mast, and one of the two aft cabins with two single beds that can be converted to doubles.
Internally, the boat provides three double cabins with three private bathrooms. The master cabin provides 2 layouts: with a classic bed towards the bow or a French version with a spacious bathroom in the bow. The 52 LC also provides a sailmaker’s cove/cabin and a tender garage. Dedicated to the “Blue Water” world, The new 52 LC will be available in 2017.

The new Corsair 760 has received a radical redesign by Perus Yacht Design. The 760 offers sailors more comfort, performance and safety than previous models. This was achieved through intelligent design aimed at increasing volumes with greater buoyancy and significantly increasing safety. The side hulls have more volume and inverted bows, the righting moment is increased by 15%, and at the same speeds the boat heels 2.5° less. The 760 offers interiors for comfortable cruising: it is designed to cruise comfortably for four people.

Like all Corsair trimarans, the side hulls can be opened and closed easily and quickly to place the boat on a road cart-an important feature for those who want to get out on the water and have fun with minimal effort. The 760 is also sold in a SPORT version with a rotating carbon wing shaft that gives remarkable performance. www.corsairmarine.com
