In the late 1960s, Berndt Arvidsson asked Swedish designer Olle Enderlein for a 34-foot boat with strong lines, plenty of space below deck, and at the same time a sail that would allow for fun and, above all, break away from the long keel concept. From this request came, in 1971, the birth of project number 1 called Najad.

The tremendous success that this 34-footer finds kicks off the adventure, with all hulls being guaranteed after Lloyd inspection. For decades Najad became one of the symbols of solid Northern European boats, until in 2013, after several rescue attempts, the shipyard was forced to declare bankruptcy. Fortunately, several entrepreneurs decided to take it over, until today’s new venture.
