How the idea was born

The idea of bringing this cult object, which is made in only 45 examples of each of the three models, is revealed by the editor of the Journal of Sailing, Luca Oriani: “At the prize-giving ceremony of an edition of the Giraglia regatta so many years ago, a crew showed up wearing a beautiful watch that had the boat’s name engraved on it.. I have always envied him, and when the opportunity arose to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Journal of Sailing, I was reminded of that memory. I proposed it to our friends at TAG Heuer who immediately agreed enthusiastically to make it happen.”
