The world of cruising boats is undoubtedly the market segment that offers the most choices, with various and different nuances on the same theme: experiencing the boat with longer or shorter sailings. Indeed, we can say that yachtsmen and cruisers are the most popular “type of sailor” in the world, which is why shipyards strive to accommodate the more sophisticated needs of those who want to experience the sea with this philosophy.
On topboatmarket
.com we have scouted four used boats absolutely cruising, so suitable for everyone, on a mid-range price range. Comfortable, livable boats that are easy to handle under canvas, combining good marine and sailing skills with the pleasure of comfort.
The Gran Large line is the cruising range of the Dufour shipyard, again by Umberto Felci. The 365 is a comfortable boat with interior volumes worthy of a larger square footage model, thanks in part to high broadside walls that do not, however, disturb the overall aesthetics. The boat, while pure cruising, also has good sailing skills and can provide good sensations under canvas. Easy to conduct, it is definitely a good compromise for those looking for a “quiet” boat to travel with. CHECK OUT THE MODEL FOR SALE HERE
In parallel with the GL range Dufour also produces the performance range. In fact, the 36p, still cared for by Felci, is yes a sport boat but with a great interior volume and a cockpit that can easily combine the needs of a racing crew and those of cruisers on vacation. A boat with a calm disposition, thanks to the well-balanced sail plan, not very comfortable in light airs but excellent in medium to strong winds. An interesting variation on the “cruising” theme for those looking for something more when sailing. CHECK OUT THE MODEL FOR SALE HERE
Let’s go back a bit in time from the first two used boat models to discover this solid, seaworthy boat that is also suitable for long sailings. The GibSea 442 is a boat from the very early 1990s, designed by Joubert Nivelt for Gibert Marine Shipyard. If you are looking for a snappy boat in the swells it is not for you, but if you are looking for a safe craft even in rough seas, a boat suitable for cruising without too many limits, it might then be for you. It is not for everyone, but only for those who can appreciate certain characteristics. DISCOVER THE MODEL FOR SALE HERE
Don’t be intimidated by the word “performance,” it is a cruising boat with good water lines, it gives satisfaction under canvas but from a space point of view it will provide all the comfort you seek for life aboard. The design is by Briand, for a 45-footer that has been quite successful. It can also be used in “friendly” club racing, and when you are cruising it will provide good numbers under canvas with great ease of handling as a docile boat. CHECK OUT THE MODEL FOR SALE HERE
