Those who love sport cruising boats are certainly familiar with the Salona brand, a shipyard that since its inception has focused on the performance cruiser segment, trying to bring “fresh” boats to the market that had as their goal not only comfort but also genuine performance. After the Salona 380, designed by Cossutti Design, came out on the market, the Croatian shipyard was silent for a few years. But here the quiet is interrupted and Salona is ready to launch the new S460 on the market.
We are talking about what will be the yard’s new flagship and will most likely replace the 44′. The project, as has often been the case in the Croatian shipyard’s history, was entrusted to the proven J&J studio of the Slovenian Jakopin brothers.
The S460 will be a boat that will undoubtedly have a cruiser soul, as evidenced also by the rather accentuated deckhouse functional to increase the internal volume in pair with a maximum beam of a good 4.20 m. The sail plan and appendages, however, will have a sporty feel, so as to provide the boat with the under-canvas liveliness that Salona enthusiasts seek. Surprise for the propulsion, which will also be available in an electric version with dual Oceanvolt Servoprop motors, a thruster that can also generate power during working hours.
The interior layout includes 3- or 4-cabin versions. The price? It is not official, but it should be around 300,000 euros.
