The predator fishing season is not over and is indeed entering its best period. If you are still cruising or if you decide to leave these days almost out of season, we point out a new technique that could give great results. Before doing so, we recommend that you read this article to avoid falling into any nasty surprises.
The technique we are talking about is spinning on feeders. What is it all about? Have you ever seen the gulls circling over a spot and on the surface of the water a great bubbling? Well, they are the predators hunting on the anchovy shoals.
What to do?
It is necessary to approach the point slowly and then turn off the engine. Fish, both prey and predators, may be intrigued by the shadow of the boat and approach. At that point it will be enough to throw the lures into the water and retrieve energetically, repeating the operation over and over again in the hope of a bite.
What equipment?
It will be necessary to have a heavy spinning rod, with a size 5000 reel reeled in with good braid and a fluorocarbon end of at least 0.40, equipment that can also be useful in trolling. As baits of metal jigs preferably silver-colored, but also silicones or any other deep-sea spinning artificial.
Prey
Skipjack tuna, skipjack tuna, bluefin tuna (watch out!), lampughe, skipjack, mackerel, and more.
