I am theCookson 50 Cippa Lippa 8 by Guido Paolo Gamucci (aboard, among others, Gabriele Bruni and Francesco Diddi), first overall in the ORC International group, and Nicola Paoleschi’s Maxi Pendragon, winner of the regatta in real time with a time (17 hours, 55 minutes and 36 seconds) very close to the record set in 2011 by Our Dream, which therefore continues to hold up in the event’s roll of honor.
In terms of the overall IRC standings, success did not escape Pigi Loro Piana’s Maxi My Song (crewed by former Olympian Pietro Sibellio and several former America’s Cup hopefuls including Lorenzo Mazza), second in real just under two minutes behind Pendragon.
A great regatta and a very important victory that rewards the work of our crew,” said Guido Paolo Gamucci, owner of Cippa Lippa 8, who was visibly satisfied to have won the ORC victory, which is also valid for the Italian Offshore Championship ranking.
