But who said you can only surf with a board or a skiff?
Paolo Ermolli with his flamboyant Dinghy 12′ (born in 1913) performs a spectacular surf to make the champion of surf champions like Robby Naish envious.

But we are not in Hawaii, but at the Dinghy 12′ National Championship held in late September in Mondello, Sicily with 97 participants. The bright orange ITA 2174 dinghy led by Paolo Ermolli took 14th place. Winner of the title Vittorio Macchiarella of the Sicilian Lauria circle. Much controversy has spilled over to the organizing committee of the Dinghy Championship for less than perfect starting lines and for “starts” given when the wind was not yet well spread out.
