Starting Wednesday, Nov. 11, stop boat visits outside the municipality of residence for five more regions entering the “orange zone.”
For residents of Liguria, Tuscany, Umbria, Basilicata and Abruzzo who become “orange zone” a ban on moving to a municipality outside of their residence, domicile or home goes into effect.
If you want to go boating, go now
Also under special surveillance for Minister Speranza is Campania, which could soon become an orange or red zone.
Advice for those who can still reach their boat. There is a real possibility that if the RT infection index does not drop in the coming days, the “red zone” will be extended to all Italian regions. So, for those who can, if you have to go by boat…go now!
Here’s what the decree says and how it affects boat owners’ ability to reach it.
DPCM: in red zones impossible to go boating
People living in “red zones” can say goodbye to their boat. The “anti-Covid” decree prohibits any movement, even within the same territory, except for business purposes. To give an example: a Milanese who has a boat on the lake cannot go on board, for any reason.
DPCM: in orange zones you can’t move from your municipality
People living in the “orange zone” are also prohibited from moving to a municipality other than their residence, domicile or home.
DPCM: green light for those living in yellow zones
Green light for those with residences in the “yellow zones” established by the decree. Basically, infraregional movement (even transit in the red and orange zones, if it is needed to reach a yellow zone) is allowed for those who live in the “yellow zones.” It is free movement then even for landlocked regions. Residents of these regions can travel to seaside and lake locations without traffic restrictions. Except that they must abide by the “curfew” that starts at 10 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m., preventing movement.
