We are presenting to you, day by day, the best ports in Italy in which to stop with your boat. Today we are in Sardinia: here is everything you need to know about Marina Cala dei Sardi (Cugnana, Olbia).
Marina Cala dei Sardi – Relaxation and top services in the heart of Costa Smeralda
Cala dei Sardi is the largest eco-friendly floating landing in the heart of the Costa Smeralda, the beautiful coastal stretch of Gallura in northeastern Sardinia.
The harbor was built with Seaflex technology and Breakwater piers: an elastometer mode that eliminates galvanic currents. They are eco-friendly constructions, chosen to offer a service that was, at the same time, efficient for the moorers but would not disfigure the seabed of the Gulf of Cugnana, renowned for its transparency. In fact, Cala dei Sardi offers a unique setting, surrounded by nature, but at the same time already reflecting the standards imposed by safety protocols.
The port
The ground part is taken care of in every detail to provide guests with total comfort. Thus, in a green area with several relaxation zones, all services are available for the use of boaters: reception, toilets and showers, video-supervised parking area, bar and restaurant offering typical dishes and sea specialties. In addition, shuttle/taxi, yacht service, and provisioning services are available upon request. Currently, the Marina offers 140 berths from 6 to 60 meters with a draft of 3 to 6.80 meters.
Berths offer the best shelter from quadrant II, III and IV winds and are equipped with all dockside services (WiFi, electricity and water) as well as mechanical, electrical and electronic assistance, rigging and sail service.
Mooring assistance can be contacted on VHF channel 8. A comfortable floating platform is also available in the harbor for those who wish to swim in crystal clear waters or sunbathe, surrounded by the nature of the Emerald Coast. Starting this year, the Sardinian Cove Marina offers a dedicated area where “four-legged friends” can have fun together with their owners.
Where it is located
Thanks to its location, setting sail from Cala dei Sardi makes it easy to reach Sardinia’s most beautiful beaches and landscapes, such as the Maddalena Archipelago, and Corsica. In addition, Cala dei Sardi is a safe harbor where you can leave your boat for visit and discover the beautiful Sardinian hinterland. The marina is also very convenient because of its proximity to Olbia airport, only 16 km away. Cala dei Sardi is then based in Cala dei Sardi by NSS Charter, a company specializing in sailboat rentals.
