So here we are going to tell you from today for 18 days about what are the top ports and marinas here in Italy! How to get there, what they look like, and what services they offer. Let’s start in Liguria: the first port we tell you about is the marina in Loano, in the province of Savona.
Top ports in Italy: Marina di Loano
Safety, hospitality, services, professionalism, respect and defense of the environment: Marina di Loano is a state-of-the-art facility with a breakwater making it a “safe harbor” in every season and the services of an authentic resort to experience the sea at 360 degrees all year round.
Assistance is guaranteed h24 for boats from 8 to 82 meters with mooring on the fingers for boats up to 16 meters, 899 parking spaces, video surveillance, automatic laundry, a Yacht Club with guest quarters, the solarium with whirlpool pool, six restaurants, the diving center, the beach, as much as 16,000 square meters of public green space, and a staff ready to meet every need of boaters.
In 2020 Marina di Loano was awarded the Blue Flag for the eighth time, the international award that the Fee (Foundation for Environmental Education), gives to marinas that meet strict criteria in the area of respecting and managing all environmental issues.
The port
The awarding of the Blue Flag follows other recognitions obtained already in 2018 testifying to the excellence of Marina di Loano’s infrastructure and services: the MaRINA Excellence 24 Plus certification and RINA’s “5 Helms”, which officially attested to the safety and quality of the facility’s tourist and accommodation services. In addition, as part of the individual aspects of the MaRINA Excellence 24 Plus and 50 Gold” assessment, Marina di Loano was the first in Italy to obtain RINA’s “Green” certification on environmental sustainability.
Also on the same topic, Marina di Loano is ISO 14,001 certified and complies with OHSAS 18001 standards (with TUV Rheinland) for its employee health and safety management system.
And today, in connection with the health emergency related to the Covid-19 pandemic, Marina di Loano has also adopted all legal provisions to counter and contain the spread of the virus and operates by following a strict safety protocol available at marinadiloano.it.
Where it is located
Easy to reach, Marina di Loano is located in the province of Savona, halfway between France and Genoa, a short distance from the Pietra Ligure exit on the Genoa-Ventimiglia highway, and an hour from both Genoa and Nice airports.
