They had announced strong winds, but no one would have expected a gale of such intensity. Among the many boats at anchor in Veruda Bay (Pula, Croatia) was Heiner Feuer with his dog aboard his Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40 DS “Laika II.” The video he sent us is really crazy: “52 knots, we are at the buoy, everything is okay,” he told us. Here it is:

And to think that until five minutes earlier, as shown in the side photo, everything was calm: but the sky did not bode well, with a decidedly threatening front: “It was expected, but that it would come so strong I didn’t think so either. However, everyone prepared. Sails tightly fastened, the buoy sailor went around earlier than usual and warned everyone. Residents tied up their boats well.” And indeed, among the fifty boats at anchor in the roadstead, no particular damage.
