TheItalian Vintage Sails Association celebrated its 35th anniversary by presenting the 2017 calendar of national regattas dedicated to vintage and classic sailing boats, consisting of thirteen events that will take place between the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic Seas.
The 13 events will take place from June to October between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the upper Adriatic Sea. The regattas will be organized under the auspices of A.I.V.E., which is a C.I.M. member, the International Mediterranean Committee. Here are the dates:
TIRRENO SEA
- June 8-11: Mariperman Trophy – “VI CSSN-AP Trophy” – La Spezia. We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that on Saturday, June 10, there will also be the VELA Cup Mariperman Trophy open to all boats of all types and without tonnage certificate. The VELA Cup course is a beautiful sail in the Gulf, passing between Lerici, Tino Island, Palmeria and Portovenere with the finish line right in front of Le Grazie. A date that is “attached” to two other days on Friday and Sunday of festivities at sea and a riot of cultural initiatives organized ashore.

- June 14-18: “XVIII Argentario Sailing Week” – Porto Santo Stefano (GR)
- June 23-25: “XV Great Sails in Gaeta” – Gaeta (LT)
- June 28-July 2: “XIV Vele d’Epoca in Naples” – Naples
- Sept. 6-10: “Vele d’Epoca a Porto Rotondo” – Porto Rotondo (OT)
- Oct. 12-15: “XIII Raduno Vele Storiche Viareggio” – Viareggio (LU)
ADRIATIC SEA
- June 10-11: “Porto Piccolo Classics” – Sistiana (Ts)
- June 25-26: III “Vele d’Epoca a Venezia” – Venice
- Sept. 9-10: “International Hannibal Classic,” Monfalcone-Portorose (Slo)-Monfalcone
- September 23-24: “Venice Arsenal Trophy” – Venice
- Sept. 30. – Oct. 1: “XX Raduno Città di Trieste” – Trieste
- October 7: “Barcolana Classic” – Trieste
