The Dufour Cup is the major sailing event reserved for all boats built by the shipyard
Dufour
in its more than 50-year history.
Everyone can participate, with no age restrictions, no bureaucracy, no technical complications, with rankings drawn up by length, and prizes “almost for everyone,” along with dozens of boats from the
SAIL Cup
. At the moment there are already more than ten Dufuors entered in the VELA Cup and the Dufour Cup and well representing the many souls of the shipyard: they range from the Dufour 34 Performance Baciottinho, ORC Italian Champion in 2014 to the mythical0 Dufour&Sparks 39.
Because the Dufour Cup (like the VELA Cup) is not just a regatta for avid racers, but everyone can participate without fear, as it is a long-shore sail. You can in fact go out and participate in white sails as a cruise category.
Departure in the morning of Saturday, May 7 in the beautiful scenery of the Tigullio Gulf, with coastal route and passage in front of Portofino with arrival on the coast of Santa Margherita Ligure.
In the afternoon after the regatta is over, the Dufour Cup will move to the VELAFestival spaces, culminating in a big party on the dock and in the Hospitality space, with the awards ceremony from 7 p.m., a show with music, cocktails and a buffet offered by the organizers.
It will definitely remain an event…to remember, if you have friends with a Dufour of any age and any size, invite them!
