Once again this year, to prevent continuous and troublesome inspections at sea by the various authorized bodies (although Infrastructure Minister Del Rio has made it clear that inspections should take place in case of infractions or dangerous behavior) the Blue Seal is back. By prominently displaying this sticker (which is limited in size, moreover), “law enforcement officers” should turn away from your boat.
This vignette can be requested at the first sea check of the ship’s equipment or with a request for inspection ashore. But beware, it does not prohibit any law enforcement agency from being able to stop you in navigation for the purpose of checking the boat’s documentation and your papers such as your license and insurance. And so we’re back to square one…
