Ambrose Beccaria picked up where he left off, which was by winning. At the Pornichet Sélect 650, 300 miles solo in the Bay of Biscay with Minis, as in 2018, Boggi laid down his law again this year by going on to win among the series with his Pogo 3 Geomag. Beccaria won it in his own way, that is, by dominating much of the course, now confirming himself as a real unresolved headache for the fleet of French specialists who watch him rage in races where they were once the favorites.
From the Pornichet Select Beccaria will “sail” straight to the Santa Margherita Ligure and the TAG Heuer Vela Festival, where we expect him on Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m. for the awarding of the Sailor of the Year at the Evening of Champions, the award of the Journal of Sailing where Ambrose is among the five finalists along with Sofia Tomasoni, Carlo De Paoli, the designers of Ocore, and Galimberti Brothers.
Upon arrival, Beccaria’s first statements via social network betray all his satisfaction, but there is also a thought for a special friend, engaged in these days in another solo race in Mini 650, but this time with start and finish in Genoa: “I am delighted to have won this time too, and I am also gassed to the brim because while I was doing the last miles Alberto Riva won the “Minisolo 222″ in Genoa. We all knew he is a talent but until you have the right vehicle you can’t prove it! Great Albi!!!” Congratulations then to both of you.
