RAYMARINE – i70s and Quantum
There are many new additions to the Raymarine panel: among them is the new i70s instrument, featuring a large color LCD screen. Garmin has unveiled Garmin’s first “mirroring” device dedicated to the large-scale marine world. This innovative wearable tool allows data on water depth and temperature, speed, course, wind direction, engine data and many others transmitted from a compatible Garmin onboard device to be displayed directly on the lens of your goggles. B&G – Vulcan 5 and Precision 9
B&G’s new Vulcan 5 chartplotter is designed as an entry-level product for sailors: equipped with multitouch, it has all the features of the larger Vulcan 7 plotter, but in a more compact format. In contrast, the Precision-9 compass provides accurate direction and rate-of-turn information using a 9-axis motion data collection system. This avoids inaccuracies and limitations of more conventional fluxgate electronic compasses. www.bandg.com

POLYMER – carbon catwalks
The catwalks produced by Slovenia’s Polymer are made of high-end carbon composite: they are available in both fixed 2.2-meter and folding versions (2.2 and 2.8 m) and weigh very little (8 kg the fixed, 8.5 kg the folding 2.2-m version). They are buoyant and have a non-slip surface, all materials are treated with UV protection, and the side portions have an anti-scratch system.
