. From self-inflating vests to flares, from umbilical cords to medical kits…

crewsaver ergofitCREWSAVER / ERGOFIT
Based on the tried-and-true ErgoFit range of self-inflating vests, the Crewsaver ErgoFit 290 Extreme was created for Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing members: a bundle of comfort and safety (290 N) for long-distance sailors.

Sea intakes and valves, if they break while underway, risk doing really big damage. If you need to perform an emergency repair at sea, you can use the handy Seabung. It is a flexible rubber rod “made in England” for threading into pipes that has an “umbrella” at its end that seals the grip and prevents water from entering while you repair the leak. Price: 63.50 euros.

Exposure Marine’s LED flashlight comes equipped with MOB (Man Over Board) device. If thrown into the water, it automatically turns on its powerful light in strobe mode. It also provides for easy recharging via USB. Price: about 245 euros.

Weatherdock’s EasyONE is a fully automatic AIS emergency transmitter. The “Man Over Board” (MOB) emergency signal emanation mechanism automatically activates an antenna (inserted inside the device and coiled into a spiral shape) as soon as the easyONE remains in constant contact with water. At the same time an alarm is triggered and an emergency MOB message is sent that will be received by all AIS receivers within range (up to 8 nautical miles, depending on weather conditions and height of receiving antennas). Price: 289.95 euros.

square float anchorSQUARE FLOAT ANCHOR
Many models of floating anchors are available at This is square-shaped, collapsible (in fact, it reduces to a very small cylinder) and made of nylon: the side of the mouth measures 50 cm and is particularly effective on smaller hulls. Price: 40.60 euros.

To protect your shrouds (and not hurt yourself if you slam a foot into the heaths) you will need this shroud cover profile and an end cap: the former is made of two dovetailed halves, the cap is made of black nylon. This system avoids having to disassemble the rigging to put the profile in place. Prices: from 10.54 euros.

Because of its small size and light weight, Restube can be worn around the waist no matter what you are doing or where you are. In case of need, just pull the lanyard and it will inflate instantly. Price: 59.90 euros.

To attach to the lifeline, you will need a good umbilical cord: this one stretches from one meter to two in the elastic part and more than a meter in the fixed part: it comes complete with anti-hook and anti-opening carabiners. Price: 47.11 euros.

gme et100GME / ET100
