Good news from the northern front, a little over a year after the launch of the 435 that followed a period of relative silence, the Swedish shipyard Arcona Yachts, which specializes in top-quality percormance-cruisers, is back with some good news. After the success garnered with the Arcona 430 (named European Yacht of the Year in 2009), after its acquisition by Najad, and after the launch at Boot Dusseldorf 2019 of the Arconda 435, the Swedish brand is unveiling a new model, and this time it drops, and by a lot, below 40 feet.
We are talking about the new Arcona 345, which replaces the old 340. From the first drawings we get a glimpse of the aesthetic line that has distinguished the Swedish shipyard’s best production, a boat that is certainly sporty and capable of a certain amount of performance but without ever forgetting seaworthiness. A boat in line with the top of Nordic shipbuilding production. A treat of his? For lovers of technique and “pure” sailing to boat will be available in addition to the double-wheel version, also in the tiller version. Something not frequently seen now in modern boats. The Arcona 345 has a slightly larger sail area than the Arcona 340 to offer better upwind performance.
The hull and deck employ vacuum infusion technology with a sandwich construction with multiaxial roving and vinylester resin. The core material is Divinycell 20mm. All bulkheads are glued to the hull and deck for added strength.
Interior designs have not yet been released, but they will be available in mahogany and light oak.
