A network of experts-and the hull is clean!

Create a network of licensed centers for the treatment and prevention of osmosis in recreational boats. This is the project that Jotun (one of the giants in marine care and protection products) has been pursuing for a few years now, and it is definitely paying off. In fact, there are already some 40 Jotun Authorized Osmosis Centers located throughout the country, and in the near future they are expected to increase further. To ebe certified as authorized centers, boatyards must undergo an in-depth and specific technical training and education program that is taught directly by Jotun’s technical staff. Only after this training, which includes a theoretical part, but especially the practical part, will these centers be able to affix the complete Jotun cycles for the treatment and prevention of osmosis in the hull. A treatment that is guaranteed for as many as five years, an offer currently unique in the market. To obtain this warranty, the shipowner need only go to one of the Jotun Authorized Centers (the always-updated list can be found at www.jotun.it or in the new Jotun Yachting App, available in both the Apple Store and Google Play), where the technical staff, after performing the work, will forward to Jotun itself all the workmanship reports thanks to which the five-year warranty certificate will be issued. To keep the warranty valid, the owner will only have the commitment to have the boat checked annually at one of the Jotun Authorized Centers. The advantage, taken up by the automotive industry, is that the shipowner will not have to show up at the same center every time; it only needs to be one of the authorized Jotun centers.

HOW THE JOTUN SYSTEM WORKS
Osmoshell is called the product that is applied for osmosis care in the hull: epoxy resin enriched with glass flakes that not only is a unique product in its class and easy to apply, but also allows for the reduction of time in processing. Instead, Jotun’s complete system of osmosis prevention in the hull is based on the application of the product Antipest: an epoxy primer with a high content of aluminum flakes that promote high water protection.
