Zadro Sailery is famous for pampering its owners, especially those who like to cruise for fun. Take a look at what they have come up with to best thin a furling genoa when the wind strengthens and you decide to reduce some of the canvas. It is a “de-rigger” called foam, a closed-cell foam that helps, once you decide to use the partially furled genoa, to have a better profile of the sail by de-rigging it. In fact, when the wind strengthens the foam layer goes to swell the furler profile and causes the sail profile to be “eaten” by the furler instead of being pushed aft.
