Tomorrow the TP52 fleet returns to Puerto Portals in Palma de Mallorca (Balearics, Spain) for the most important event of the season, the World Class Championship (which coincides with the third leg of the 52 Super Series). Twelve boats at the start, eyes on Azzurra (YC Costa Smeralda), current leader of the circuit (and of which we show you a wonderful gallery by Max Ranchi).

VESSEL IS READY
Said Vasco Vascotto, Azzurra’s key man, “I am happy to be back in Portals with the Azzurra guys. I have wonderful memories here, especially in 2008, when we were racing for Breitling regattas and at sea at the helm of the Bribon was SAR Juan Carlos of Spain, a great sailor and great sportsman. We are aware that we have a fast boat, but the difference with this great leveling is made by the crew, the choices in the race, small moments that can translate into advantages or disadvantages, we will see, we will try our best as always.”
THE RETURN OF BRUNI
A big f—ing to the whale also to Francesco “Checco” Bruni, tactician aboard Eduardo de Souza Ramos’ Brazilian Phoenix team. Bruni returns to the fields after his experience ended prematurely with Luna Rossa, which dropped out of the America’s Cup after a painful decision. And also to Marco Serafini’s Xio, fresh off silver at the ORC World Championship.
