Final victory for host Azzurra, owned by Alberto Roemmers, in this engaging and hard-fought edition of the Settimana delle Bocche – 52 Super Series, organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.
In the last stick race that the TP52 fleet completed, Azzurra left no room for anyone and closed all talks by taking the overall lead after a week-long battle at the top with teams from Quantum Racing and Bronenosec. Silver medal for the Americans of Quantum Racing who finish this competition ahead of the Russian team of Bronenosec, third on the podium.

Vasco Vascotto, tactician of Azzurra: “It was a splendid event, with good wind. We sailed very well, and it is a satisfaction to win at home. We are first in the circuit, first here, it couldn’t have been better than this!”

From the very beginning every crew put in their best effort and victory was on the line until the very end. Of course we are proud of the excellent performance of the new Azzurra, but above all as organizers we are pleased to have taken part in a week of great sportsmanship.”
