HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN WAVES: WATCH VIDEO
Hawaii is a well-known surfing den. When there is a lack of waves, however, what can be done? Simple: create them yourself. A group of ingenious surfers, Wiggolly Dantas, Lucas Silveira and Luan Wood, decided to open that would connect the sea with the nearby Waimea River, one of the longest rivers in the archipelago, located on Kaua Island. They set to work hard and, by creating small dunes within the gap, caused the flow of water to go to create permanent “leapfrogs,” growing larger and larger as time went on.
