You have decided that is this year’s cruise will be all about relaxation. No worries other than enjoying the sea, sunshine and good food and a good skipper to take care of everything else. Or, you don’t have a boat license but don’t want to give up your dream: a sailing cruise with friends or your family. You will be accommodated with destinations and vessels tailored just for you. What do you think of a comfortable and spacious catamaran with which to Sailing in the less windy areas of Greece? Flying conveniently over Athens and chartering the boat directly from Piraeus there are at least three destinations that are right for you: the Sporades Islands, the Ionian Islands (also departing from Lefkada) and the Gulf of Thessaloniki. Three ideal destinations for sailing, for example, aboard a Lagoon 52 or Catana 47. But let’s not forget another dream destination: Turkey. The best starting points for visiting the coast straddling Europe and Asia are Bodrum, Gocek, Marmaris and Fethiye. Choosing a comfortable catamaran, such as the Bali 43 or Nautitech 482 undoubtedly assures you of a pasha cruise, as does boarding a 50-foot monohull (it could be a Bavaria 50 Cruiser or a Dufour 500 GL); but if you fancy something more “indigenous,” try a gulet cruise: you will suddenly feel transported to a magical world from A Thousand and One Nights.
