How best to promote the cultural, natural and scenic heritage of Southern Italy if not through the sea? This is the idea behind the Signa Maris project, implemented by the Intermediate Body of the MIBACT’s POIn “Cultural, Natural Attractions and Tourism,” with the collaboration of Invitalia, the National Agency for Investment Attraction and Enterprise Development.
A project that offers an innovative way to enjoy the Italian tourist offer through a network of 38 marinas in Puglia, Sicily, Campagnia and Calabria. The goal is to intercept new tourist flows by using recreational boating as a tourism segment to enhance the cultural, natural and food and wine heritage of the territories.
This is to achieve more visitors, more tourism, more functionality and services in the ports, as well as raising the quality standards of tourist services and, more generally, of the offerings of the territories. The project’s website, Facebook page, Twitter profile, and smartphone App (iOS and Android) will enable tourists who land in the network’s ports to receive all the necessary information about services, itineraries, and scenic routes included. www.signamaris.it
