It was one of the most eagerly awaited novelties at the last Paris Boat Show. With the Dufour 310 Grand Large, the French shipyard raises the challenge in the rich cruising boat segment. This new 9 1/2-meter is once again designed by Umberto Felci (author of all the latest models of the transalpine shipyard, whose new management we recently presented to you), who focused on the combination of performance and comfort now demanded even on small boats.
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EASY TO CARRY
Designed to be easily carried by even one person, the Doufour 310 Grand Large is the natural next step after the Dufour 410 and 500 (and just before the 560, expected in the water soon), from which it also took the dual wheelhouse (and also has a double rudder blade, a guarantee of optimal control even when the boat is heeling).
The double wheel, for its part, fits in with current design trends and that it ensures a better possibility of movement on board. The philosophy of easy sailing is confirmed by the self-tacking jib and the referral of all rigging to the wheelhouse area. The cockpit is clear, as there is no mainsail track on this model, but the sheet has been placed on the deckhouse. The transom, as on the other models in the Grand Large range, can be folded down to create a large swim platform (increasingly in demand).
A CLASSIC INTERIORLAYOUT
The interior layout is classic, divided into two cabins, a large dinette and bathroom, all furnished with oak furniture; note the attention given to the natural light that passes below deck making the interior spaces very pleasant to live in.
