THE PERFECT GIFT!
Give or treat yourself to a subscription to the print + digital Journal of Sailing and for only 69 euros a year you get the magazine at home plus read it on your PC, smartphone and tablet. With a sea of advantages.
For all boat vacation enthusiasts, there is now Antlos, the new portal that connects professional skippers with tourists eager to experience the open sea without worrying about the organizational aspects. Antlos was born from the idea of making boating vacations accessible to those who love the sea but, due to inexperience and high costs, have yet to set sail.
It is to these users that Antlos offers a wide range of destinations and activities with carefully selected skippers who can suggest the most suitable package for different needs. Competitive prices, feedback from the community and guaranteed full refunds are some of the pluses of Antlos.
Just like the Airbnb portal, Antlos connects hosts and users, offering the opportunity to purchase a vacation and turn it into a true offshore experience. Each Skipper can post multiple listings and be contacted by registered users to book a vacation by choosing from a variety of destinations, experiences and activities offered, paying securely online with credit cards and Paypal.
Antlos’ business model is inspired by the philosophy of the sharing economy by offering a concrete opportunity for users to start earning money from renting their boat, without having to pay commissions to agencies.
Instead, customers, thanks to a simple and intuitive booking system, can book their vacations with the peace of mind provided by flexible cancellation policies, transparent refund conditions, and dedicated customer service.
ANTLOS IN BRIEF
Antlos is a platform that organizes all-inclusive boating vacations by directly connecting carefully selected professional skippers with sea-loving users who decide to rely on the experience of qualified staff. The platform guarantees a flexible cancellation and full refund policy, efficient customer support, competitive prices, and verified feedback left by the community. Antlos was born in 2014 within the accelerator program of H-FARM Ventures where it is still incubated. The team currently consists of five people in addition to the three founders: Michelangelo Ravagnan, business developer, former yacht captain and crew trainer; Marco Signori, product manager and former sailing skipper; and Nicola Peduzzi, lead developer.
