How long has it been since you’ve seen Swan display one of its boats at a boat show? At the TAG Heuer VELAFestival, the legendary Finnish shipyard awaits you with a one-two punch. Nautor’s Swan Italy and Monaco will bring to the dock among the cult boats the Swan 70 Flying Dragon in addition to the Swan 62 FD.
Flying Dragon is Swan 70 hull 005 year 2002: one of German Frérs most successful hulls. Universally recognized by enthusiasts and racers as one of the most aptly named and fastest “Rolls Royce” models of the seas, designed by Argentine German Frérs, legendary designer of the Moro di Venezia. A hallmark of the Argentine naval architect’s pencil is the flared stern at the junction between hull and deck. This 70-footer is the epitome of Swan Shipyard’s penultimate generation of hulls and features a semi-flushdeck with retractable deckhouse. Flying Dragon is a perfect boat both for winning in regattas, and in fact has been a protagonist in the most important regattas in the Mediterranean for years, and for long and comfortable cruises around the seas around the world. The value of this Swan is due to the skills of skilled craftsmen and the pursuit of excellence in every aspect of design and construction, making it a sailboat of unique elegance and safety.
Also on the dock will be the Swan 62 Acamar, the elegant hull also designed by German Frérs and produced between 2004 and 2006.
