Swan show staged in the Caribbean

The second edition of the Rolex Swan Cup Caribbean starts today in Virgin Gorda (British Virgin Islands), hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda at the new Caribbean Clubhouse. On the starting line are 21 jewels churned out by Finnish shipyard Nautor’s Swan.
THE PROTAGONISTS.
Four days of racing are scheduled for the two categories of competing boats: Class A (for hulls over 18.29 meters) and Class B (hulls under 18.28 meters). Among the larger boats, eyes are on James C. Madden’s (USA) Swan 691 Stark Raving Mad, winner of the 2013 edition. Other candidates for victory are the Swan 90 Freya and Odin and Leonardo Ferragamo’s Swan 90S Solleone.
In Class B, Swan 53 Music and Naia’a and 56 White Rhino are in their second participation and will use the experience to their advantage, but the smallest of the participants, Italian Paolo Scerni’s Swan 42 Kora 6, could also do well.
