Having surpassed fifty registered boats, the TAG Heuer CUP announces that solo navigator Simone Gesi (two Mini Transats under his belt) is coming aboard in an operational role for the event.
He will be our “testimonial,” awarding the winners, plus dispensing advice to the racers during the Saturday morning briefing, telling how a professional sailor approaches a competition, whether long or short, always giving his best and taking care of the smallest details. With his advice you can, why not, win the first edition of the sail and perhaps, improve your performance at the next regattas in which you participate.
Who Simone Gesi is:
“Sailing solo requires a great deal of discipline and self-knowledge, to know when to speed up and push the boat to the limit and when to pull the handbrake. Because the only thing that matters during a solo Atlantic crossing is getting the boat across the ocean and being aware that the sea and the wind are always stronger than we are.”
This is a summary of Simone’s thought, to read more click here.
