Fifty-five boats, 535 miles on the Riva di Traiano-Lipari-Ventotene-Santo Stefano-Riva route for the first major “long” race of the season. The 2015 edition of Rome for One, for Two and for All turned out to be a great success. Classifications in hand, the big star of the event proved to be Michele Galli’s TP52 B2, with Francesco De Angelis aboard, the first boat to cross the finish line in real and winner in both IRC and ORC plywood of the Per Tutti. But let’s find out, in detail, all the rankings.
IN REAL TIME.
Bravi bet1128 by Gaetano Mura, Neo Scheggia by Andrea Caracci and Nino Merola, B2 by Michele Galli Galli and Francesco de Angelis. This the winners in real, where prizes also go to Ars Una, the Mylius of Vittorio Biscarini and Carlo Rocchi, and in Durlindana 3, by Giancarlo Gianni (2nd and 3rd place in the “for All”), to Made in Midi by Michel Cohen and Gwen Gbich and to Argo by Luciano Manfredi and Andrea Porchera (2nd and 3rd in the “for 2”) and to Mario Girelli onPatricia II and Hugues Le Cardinal on It’s Like This. (2nd and 3rd in the “for 1”).
ROME FOR ONE
In plywood, however, another story is written, where the weather on the last day pushed those who still had the will and strength to dare to try to win the challenge against bigger boats. In the Rome for 1 in IRC the win goes to Mario Girelli’s Patricia II, followed by Hugues Le Cardinal on E’ Così and Oscar Campagnola on Fair Lady. Gaetano Mura, by his own choice, races only in IRC and is not present in this ranking. For him, however, the biggest celebration, with the presentation of the Paolo Venanzangeli Trophy, the Challenge trophy designed for Roma for 1 by Cino Ricci, Luigi Aldini and Giulio Guazzini.
ROME FOR TWO
In the Rome for 2 in IRC the victory went to the dean of the race, that Valerio Brinati who has been present continuously since the first edition. His Este 35 Whisky Echo, where he was joined by Marzio Dotti, left in its wake the Sun Fast 3600 Lunatika, owned by Stefano Chiarotti and Natale Marcallini, and Michel Cohen and Gwen Gbich’s Figaro, Made in Midi. In ORC victory went to Lunatika, followed by Neo Scheggia, the Neo 400 of Andrea Caracci and Nino Merola, and Prospettica, Comet 41S of Giacomo Gonzi and Iacopo Lacerra.
ROME FOR ALL
In Rome for All, there was no history: Michele Galli’s B2 wins in both IRC and ORC. Only his handmaidens change: in IRC in second place is the defending champion Bluone by Leonardo Servi, who had to bow before such power, and in the third the Tripp 40 Stripptease, of Riccardo Maria Serranò. In ORC, B2 was always ahead of Bluone, but in third was Milù, Andrea Pietrolucci’s Mylyus 14e55.
THE SHORE FOR TWO / FOR ALL
Also awarded cadet regattas, Riva for 2 and Riva for All, must rankings do not change between actual and compensated. In the Bank for 2 won Tany & Tasky IV, by Guido Deleuse and Alessandro Ligaro, in second place Jolie by Marcello Bernabucci and Morena Frattari and at the third Strega Rossa, by Gian Piero Salvatori and Paolo Munzi. In the Riva per Tutti, victory for Tany & Tasky II by Claudio Gastaldi, second place for Bonarda, by Nicola Furlani and third place for Kika 2 by Stefano Nicolò.
