palmavelaBig celebration in Palma de Mallorca for Palmavela, the customary event that sees the world’s most beautiful racing boats gather in the Balearic Islands. Especially in the Mini Maxi category: this year, although it was the least numerous grouping (5 boats at the start), the spectacle was assured with real “missiles” challenging each other in tacking: clear victory for Niklas Zennstrom’s new Ran 5, followed by Roberto Tomasini Grinover’s Robertissima III (with Vasco Vascotto as tactician), which is precisely the former Ran of the Swedish patron of Skype. In third place was Andres Soriano’s Alegre, ahead of Sir Peter Ogden’s Jethou and Wild Joe of Chemimpex International Ltd. Here are the shots by master Carlo Borlenghi.
