In the beautiful setting of the Royal Palace in the heart of Milan, our editor-in-chief Alessandro De Angelis, age 37, married Martina D’Argenio, age 26, an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry.

Tears, hugs and applause at the ceremony, officiated for the occasion by a special guest, Erik Akerfeldt (pictured above among the bride and groom), great-grandson of the famous Norwegian archaeologist/navigator Thor Heyerdahl (who passed away in 2002, his name remains linked to that of the Kon Tiki, an Inca-inspired balsa wood boat with which he sailed from Peru landing in Polynesia in 1947). Alessandro met Erik during a fishing trip to Skagen, Denmark: the two have since remained in close correspondence, and the Norwegian decided to pay tribute to his Italian friend in this way.

All that remains is for us to wish a very happy and very long marriage to Alexander and Martina! More: best wishes and sailing children!
