An interesting promotion and in pure “automotive” style, the one decided by Jeanneau until the end of this 2014, that is to propose some of its top models at a competitive price. In practice, the French shipyard has “institutionalized” those proposals that we are used to seeing only at boat shows. An example? The Sun Odyssey 409 in its standard ex-works version is offered at 129,900 euros + VAT instead of 144,810 euros, thus saving about 15,000 euros. But let’s see which boats are affected by the promotion.
SUN ODYSSEY 33i – 65,900 euros (instead of 74,000)

SUN ODYSSEY 379 – 104,900 euros (instead of 115,500)
Undoubtedly one of the most successful models in the Sun Odyssey range: in fact, it is not easy to manage to bring to an eleven-meter boat the habitability features proper to much larger models, while maintaining a sufficiently sporty line. Its design, by Marc Lombard, emphasizes maneuverability and ergonomics. It was a remarkable success as soon as it hit the water, as evidenced by the nominations it received from the trade press throughout Europe. The cockpit is, especially in relation to the length of the boat, definitely out of the norm in size. Maneuvers are deferred to the helmsman so as not to annoy the guests. The sail plan can be transformed according to the needs of each individual owner: classic mast or with roll mainsail, medium-overlap genoa or self-tacking jib, code zero, spinnaker or gennaker.Interior Many versions and customizations including in terms of interior layout and the essences available on board. Of all of them, the two-cabin version appears to be very balanced, with a large storage compartment in the stern on the left. Data: length. 11.34 m; wd. 3.76 m; sup. vel. 70.05 sq. m.
SUN ODYSSEY 409 – 129,900 euros (instead of 144,810)
Philippe Briand has created a forty-foot marine with a flowing line, a powerful hull that is easy to maneuver, and has also placed great emphasis on on-board comfort, both above and below deck. Compared to its predecessors, it has a deck layout that makes it even easier to maneuver; an example? The mainsail sheet is deferred to both rudder wheels. There are two sail options: at the bow there is a choice of a 105% jib or a self-tacking jib, while the mainsail can be battened or rollable in the mast. Inside we find three double cabins and two bathrooms, which enjoy great light and proper air circulation. Data: length. 12.34 m; wid. 3.99 m; sup. vel. 76 sq. m.
SUN ODYSSEY 439 – 149,900 euros (instead of 167,660)
The Sun Odyssey 439 is in the groove of the new line launched with the Sun Odyssey 409. A powerful line with a sketchy edge at the stern, contrasting tones with black openings, purity of the rounded deck line at the ends, this is a bold look from the pencil of designer Philippe Briand. Under sail, it proved to be a balanced model with good performance and, above all, ease of handling even with a small or inexperienced crew. Data: length. 13.34 m; wd. 4.24 m; sup. vel. 91 sq. m.
SUN ODYSSEY 50 DS – 199,900 euros (instead of 224,830)
