Let’s not beat around the bush: figuring out which boat insurance is best is a big hurdle to overcome. There are so many formulas offered to shipowners, and being able to untangle the policies is likely to become a real chore. Actually, we can start by dividing marine insurance into two large families: first, Third Party Liability (TPL), which is mandatory for everyone (just as it is with your car); then we move on to talk about the so-called Yacht Body policies, which can offer coverage and riders at various levels.

THE STANDARD YACHT BODIES OF PANTAENIUS
This policy covers damage to the boat and its accessories and equipment. It also includes cases where, as the insured, you yourself cause the damage. The insured value agreed with Pantaenius is equivalent to an estimate and will be the only value that will be indemnified in case of total loss.

– Liquidated damages or partial losses, without “new-for-old” deduction
– Recovery and Rescue reimbursed without limitation
– The deductible of this marine insurance does not apply in the case of total loss, loss or damage due to fire, lightning, burglary, loss or damage to personal effects, and loss or damage solely attributable to the negligence of third parties who hit the insured boat while it is stationary in the water.
