In the first three days of the competition, more than 90 photos have already participated. And that’s just the beginning: you, what are you waiting for?
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The contest is open to everyone (all you need is a free Instagram account) and runs from August 1-31, 2014. To participate, all you need to do is upload photos (yes, you can participate with as many images as you want) to Instagram using the hashtag #crocieragdv2014 and tagging @giornaledellavela in your photographs. We repeat, there is no limit to the number of images each participant can post on Instagram to participate. We also give you a tip: in addition to the hashtag #crocieragdv2014 add as many hashtags as possible. This will give maximum visibility to your photos and a chance for other users to click the mythical “Like” button. Why is it important? Because in choosing the winners we will also take into account the number of “Likes” the photo has received.
WHAT, HOW AND WHEN TO PHOTOGRAPH
The only limit is your imagination. Under sail, in the roadstead, in port, while preparing dinner or in the middle of a dive, just to name a few examples, what embodies your passion for cruising, the sea and sailing can be the subject of images. For inspiration, then, why don’t you go look back at the photos that participated last summer? Want to see the shots already participating in the contest: click here!
The best photos will be chosen by the editorial staff, taking into consideration quality, originality and the number of “likes” the image has received. Thanks to our partner TAG Heuer, the winner will receive an Aquaracer 500M Calibre 5 Automatic.
This model, inspired specifically by the world of sailing, is water-resistant to 500 meters and features a helium decompression valve at 10 o’clock and a unidirectional rotating bezel made of scratch-resistant black ceramic. This 41 mm watch, driven by a Caliber 5, has a design that makes it suitable for any occasion.
The second and third runners-up will instead enjoy a vintage TAG Heuer canvas duffel bag, reminiscent in its lines of those used by racers of yesteryear, when sailing was even more of a great adventure. an even more social contest This year your photographs will not remain confined, if you can call it that, to the world of Instagram on smartphones, but will also have a prominent place on your computers thanks to the Sailing Newspaper Facebook page (facebook.com/sailingjournal), where you will find a specially dedicated section with real-time updates and where you can upload your photographs directly from your computer! Here on the site, big space for your images for the duration of the contest, with more weekly updates where we will post the most curious photos you have posted, also relaunching everything on our Twitter profile. And on the pages of the Sailing Newspaper, in both its print and digital versions, for iPad, iPhone and Android, you will find an initial update on the September issue and then, in the October issue, the big feature dedicated to the winners!
